The first two "Under the Dome" season 3 episode revealed where the residents of Chester's Mill are after the second season's finale.
At first, it seemed like the dome has finally vanished with several characters already living a normal life. The only problem is that Barbie (Mike Vogel) haven't moved on from the death of Julia (Rachelle Lefevre). Turned out, nothing was really changed. Except for Julia and Big Jim (Dean Norris), they were just knocked out to sleep by the dome.
At the end of the two-episode "Under the Dome" season 3 premiere, the main characters were saved by someone they expected the least to have their back - Big Jim. Dean Norris's character tormented Barbie and others ever since the first episode. He has done many bad things before but he was completely different now.
As per Norris himself, Big Jim got to do good things in the latest "Under the Dome" season 3 episode because he is the sanest guy in town.
"This season, he may seem like the sanest guy there. There's this kind of force that comes over the town, and they're trying to con the town into thinking one thing but Big Jim's the guy. With his narcissism and craziness, he's able to see through that BS and he's the guy you want doing that. It's going to be a fun season with him," Norris said as per a report by Irish Examiner.
Although Big Jim will remain as the backbone of Chester's Mill, things will not be easy for the residents for the rest of "Under the Dome" season 3. Norris said things will get crazy as the show as the progresses.
"It's a good one. Season three is really the one we've been waiting for," he said.
"It's going to get crazy. We start right where we ended - everyone trying to get out of the dome to this tunnel, and the question is, where does it go to? This is the season when we find out why the dome's there, where it came from, whether it was good or bad."
"Under the Dome" season 3 episode 3 is called "Redux" and will air on July 2.
