"Terminator" star Arnold Schwarzenegger was one of the many celebrities who celebrated the US Supreme Court's decision to legalize same-sex marriage throughout the country.
He quickly changed his Facebook profile photo, which was originally a snap from his new movie "Terminator: Genisys", to one with a rainbow filter to signify support for the LGBTQ community's triumph.
He also uploaded the same photo on Instagram, simply captioning it with "#LoveWins".
According to Yahoo News, not all of his fans, however, supported his view.
One such follower shared his disappointment at the legendary actor's decision to rainbow-fy his profile picture.
"What's wrong with [you] Arnie? I have to unlike..." the said fan commented on the former California governor's page.
This didn't deter the "Terminator" star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Instead of engaging in a bitter debate, he reportedly merely replied with one of his most memorable movie lines and it fit the situation perfectly!
"Hasta la vista," he responded, which hilariously also gave him the chance to promote the new "Terminator" sequel.
"I'm very happy that they made the right decision on that because we in California of course are always a step ahead! We made that decision already a long time ago. Our Supreme Court of California said that it is unconstitutional to deny people, gay or same-sex couples, their marriage," 3 News quoted him as saying after the ruling.
He added, "Everyone has equal rights, so this is the right way to go. I think it's a great celebration for America... Sometimes, I have to say, the judges and the judiciary system makes better decisions than the politicians!"
The "Expendables" star's support for the LGBTQ community had been quite mixed, however. According to Pink News, the former California governor vetoed same-sex marriage bills twice (in 2005 and 2007) but still performed two weddings during his time in office. He later changed his mind supported the cause in 2008.
