NBC finally announced the "Grimm" season 5 premiere date for this Fall!
According to Comicbook.com, the Grimm brothers fairy tale-inspired series will be coming back to the small screen on Oct. 30. What will the focus be in the fifths season?
"Vengeance rises from the ashes," the poster released by the broadcast station read, implying that Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) will definitely not spend the entire season sulking and grieving his dead mother and girlfriend.
We left the supernatural detective cradling his dying girlfriend, Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch), in his arms. Even though the ordinary-veterinarian-turned-Hexenbiest conspired with the royals to ambush his mother, he still loved her until the very end.
Producer David Greenwalt previously told Hollywoord Reporter that Nick will be left with "nothing" when the "Grimm" season 5 premiere date rolls around. He will also be facing some "pretty serious repercussions".
For sure, he will be seeking revenge for the deaths of his loved ones from the royals, specifically from King Frederick. However, as fans already know, he was thrown off a helicopter by Adalind Schade's (Claire Coffee) daughter, Diana. It seems that the little girl had been working with the Resistance the entire time.
On the other hand, Nick still doesn't know about the king's death. Will he be focusing his anger and grief on the dead king or will he be taking it somewhere else?
During the season four finale, Agent Chavez and her secret group of Wesens was seen charging into Nick's house to "get her". Whether she was talking about Juliette or Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni), who killed Juliette out of necessity, still remains to be seen.
For the "Grimm" season 5 premiere date, Nick will start out without his mother, his girlfriend and even the trailer. Hopefully, his friends will help keep him his revenge-seeking mind in check and help him get over his loss.
