For fans excited about "You're The Worst" season 2 premiere, stay patient because because its new home FXX hasn't announced anything yet.
When the show returns though, looks like there is more for fans to cheer on other than the whirlwind romancer between lead characters Jimmy Shive-Overly (Chris Geere) and Gretchen Cutler (Aya Cash).
Both Desmin Borges and Kether Donohue, who play lead characters' best friends Edgar Quintero and Lindsay Jillian, respectivelym don't know when the "You're The Worst" season 2 premiere will be. What they do know is more and better story arc for their characters.
Talking to The TV Junkies, Borges said his character will at least try to woo Donohue's Lindsay albeit it will be hard.
"I think as much as he can. It's just that normal, pedestrian life is still weird for him. So as much as he can with his idiosyncrasies, try to develop feelings I think we see," he said.
Donohue, on the other hand, tries to remain secretive but she assures there is something good in store for Lindsay and Edgar.
"Also, we don't want to give anything away because it's SO GOOD what happens. We can't tell," she said.
Edgar and Lindsay is not the only new romance people will see when the "You're The Worst" season 2 premiere hits. The Hollywood Reporter wrote Mageina Tovah has been cast for a role opposite Allan McLeod's Paul Jillian.
"Mageina Tovah will have a multiple-episode arc on the FXX critical darling. Worsties, prepare to meet the female version of Paul (Allan McLeod). FXX's critical darling You're the Worst has cast Mageina Tovah for its upcoming second season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned."
The move to a new network may be the reason why "You're The Worst" Season 2 premiere is taking too long but Stephen Falk assures they are not affected by such change in general.
"Being on FXX doesn't affect us at all," Falk told THR in February this year. "They gave me no mandate. When I got the call from [FX Networks CEO] John Landgraf explaining we were going to FXX, my concern was it would feel like a demotion. But I wasn't concerned about the perception."
