Several leaks about the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 940 XL have made the round, and AdDuplex recent inclusion of two unnmaned upcoming Microsoft Lumia phones on its website strongly suggest that the first Windows 10 based smartphone will be releasing any time soon.
According to WMPU, the listing on AdDuplex reveals two upcoming Microsoft Lumia phones. TheMicrosoft RM-1100 will have a 2K 1440×2560 screen with unknown dimension, while the Microsoft RM-1104 will have a 5.2 inch 1080P screen. These details were gathered from the website's ad network on June 23.
The leaked details clearly points out to the upcoming Microsoft Lumia codenamed "Cityman", believed to be the Lumia 940XL which was previously spotted on GFXBenchmark. (via NokiaPowerUser)
According to the leaked benchmarking, the Lumia 940 XL will sport a 5.7-inch display with a slim design and a metal frame. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage.Camera-wise, the upcoming Lumia 940 XL will sport a 5MP selfie snapper and a 20MP rear camera with PureView technology.
On the other hand, the Lumia 940 was rumored that some of its specs and features might be watered down, "RAM is listed as 1.5GB, which means 2GB total. We were expecting 3GB and the rumors were promising as much and vailable storage is 27GB left over from 32GB total," GSM Arena.
Both phones are said to feature an iris scanner for biometric authentication, type-c usb port and a docking station which might work as an accessory like on the Motorola Atrix.
As for the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL release date, reports claim that the Lumia 940 will be launched along with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 when Windows 10 would be ready for all platforms not until July 29. (Cross Map)
