OnePlus Two finally gets an official release date on July 27 which will be unveiled via viritual reality on July 27.
"A VR launch lets you stand right next to our team and our fans as we unveil our new flagship. You'll be able to look around as you check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs," co-founder Carl Pei wrote on the company's official blog. ( Indian Express)
In line with the new flagship's upcoming launch, OnePlus has ''engineered'' its own "cardboard" based on Google Cardboard "which is primarily made of paper cardboard, lens, magnets and some adhesive strips and costs between Rs 200 and Rs 300."
Ahead of its release, the company announced that it will be the first flagship to use Type-C USB port, and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon. (via The Verge)
"The #OnePlus2 will be the first flagship to use Type C USB. We want to lead the way in power connectivity," the company shared on Twitter Wedsnesday.
As for its other specs and features, the upcoming flagship is rumored to feature a QHD (1440x2560 pixels) and its processor will be supported by a 4GB of RAM. Some rumors also suggest that the OnePlus Two will be way better from its predecessor OnePlus One and will be smaller and thinner, NDTV reported.
In addition, it will run on the company's own Oxygen OS which replaces the Cyanogen OS on OnePlus One.
Though the upcoming flagship's specs and features sound promising, prospect buyers must note that the OnePlus Two will follow the an invite-only system.While those who want to participate on OnePlus Two's VR launch, you might want to check OnePlus official website as the company is yet to announce how to get your own cardboard headset.
