Lindsay Lohan bailed out of her scheduled interview with Barbara Walters for the November 16 edition of “20/20.”
According to Deadline, the decision to back off the interview came from actress new reps, Rogers & Cowan, who didn’t want Lohan to face questions about her countless run-ins with the law and many other personal issues.
Her latest legal drama is pretty serious. Santa Monica police say they have evidence that Lindsay lied when she claimed she was not behind the wheel of a Porsche that collided with a dump truck in June. If they file charges against her, it would be considered a violation of her 2011 parole for shoplifting and could lead to her returning to jail. Additionally, she had three other run-ins with the police in September and October alone, most memorably the incident when authorities responded to a domestic dispute between her and her 50-year-old mother, Dina. In a phone call recorded during the fight, Lindsay told her father, Michael, that Dina had been using cocaine. Lindsay later said she made up the story about her mother's drug use.
When we first heard that Lindsay would be sitting down with Walters — and no topic was off-limits — we compiled a list of seven topics we'd love to see addressed. Some examples of our questions? What really happened the night of the $100,000 jewelry theft at the home of her friend Sam Magid in August? Why was it so impossible for production staffers on "Liz & Dick" to rouse her from a nap on June 15 that they had to call 911 for an ambulance? How in the world did she rack up $46,000 worth of charges in two months at the Chateau Marmont?
Lindsay's TV movie "Liz & Dick" will air November 25 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
