NBC finally released a more action-packed "Heroes Reborn" trailer!
While the first teaser featured Noah Bennett (Jack Coleman) and Luke Collins (Zachary Levi) with only a mere glimpse of what fans should look forward to, the new one finally delivered more of the story as well as introduced new characters into the fold.
The clip, titled "The Extraordinary Among Us", features both new and familiar faces. The most notable comeback, however, is Hiro Nakamura's (Masi Oka) appearance towards the end of the video. Compared to the original series, this Hiro is the future version, the samurai that Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) met on that subway.
Is he the same Hiro from the future or has he already transformed into that version of himself in the "Heroes Reborn" timeline? Would the new story benefit more by having this Hiro instead of the bubbly, comicbook-obsessed one back in the first series?
The "Heroes Reborn" trailer starts off with Ryan Guzman giving a speech to a group of students about being a hero despite not having powers. This is then followed by glimpses of new characters that will be added into the mythology. New powers will be introduced along with these new individuals.
IGN previously talked of a longer trailer that was shown during the Upfronts but it seems that version is still being kept under wraps. It reportedly gave a more in-depth look at Zachary Levi's mysterious character. Details about Luke Collins are still mostly a mystery, with Levi sharing very little about the role.
He called his character a "wild card" and "complicated" in a previous interview with TV Junkies.
"But I think the complication is what makes it really intriguing. When I found out who they wanted me to play I was like, 'Yes. That's the character I would like to play,'" he revealed.
This extended version might be released for public consumption during the San Diego Comic Con this July.
The 13-episode series will premiere on Sept. 24 at 8 PM on NBC.
