'Arrow' Season 4 Release Date Revealed; Moira Queen Reincarnate Being Cast, Plus More Spoilers

| By

CW Network has revealed "Arrow" season 4 release date, a sign the superhero series is getting nearer. Stephen Amell previously said his character Oliver Queen/Arrow will no longer wear his costume.

In third season's finale, Oliver Queen drove away from Starling City together with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) after defeating Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable). In a recent Twitter Q&A he held fans, he also revealed that is Thea that will bring Ollie back to his city.

His sister might not be the only person the Arrow will find when he returns to Starling City. He might find a second version of his mother Moira Queen who was shockingly killed in the second season.

A spoiler from TV Line's Michael Ausellio revealed the show is currently looking for an actress that will assume the role of Starling City mayor who is a good friend to the Queen family. This character is is close to Thea and Oliver and even helped the latter cover up a huge secret.

"The show is getting around to filling Starling City's mayoral vacancy (R.I.P., Celia Castle). Producers are looking for a fiftysomething actress to play Patty, a candidate for mayor and a longtime friend of Moira's; as such, she was once close with Oliver and Thea. Here's some noisy spitballing from Mitovich: "Hey, maybe Moira once confided in Patty that she years ago paid off Oliver's baby mama to leave town...?" - TV Line wrote when a fan asked for an "Arrow" season 2 spoiler.

The spoiler did not indicate though if the Starling City mayor will appear when the "Arrow" season 2 release date hits.

"Arrow" season 3 release date is October 7 and will start shooting next month as per John Barrowman who plays Malcolm Merlyn.

"We start filming in July, Season Four -- I just finalized my deal about a week ago," Barrowman told an audience at Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con this weekend. "I'm very excited about going back, I can't tell you anything because I do know a bit about what's going to happen. But if you love Malcolm Merlyn, if you love Oliver Queen, if you love Thea Queen, if you love the Canary sisters, and I say that with a bit of a twist and a joke in it, you're going to love what's going to happen across the DC world."
