Huawei was reportedly in the works of polishing its Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Huawei Ascend P7 and invites beta testers to help them fix issues that may plague the update.
And today Huawei extends its invites for Honor 6 users from France, Germany and the UK.
Registration for the Android 5.1 Lollipop is free, interested applicants may follow the instruction provided by Huawei below.
"Make sure to send us an email with the subject "Beta Test Honor 6″, your IMEI number and a short statement why you are the appropriate person for the test to myhonor@hihonor.com," Huawei announced on its official Faebook page. (via Phandroid)
"The first 100 applications that convinced us most will be notified by us next week."
The application period is until the 30th of this month, so sooner the application has been sent the bigger the chance of inclusion on the "Honor Club" beta testers.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop beta will bring the latest Google OS to Huawei Ascend P7 and Honor 6 ahead of the official roll out of the update via OTA and will give its users the first glimpse of the latest EMUI 3, but since this is a beta version tester may expect instability.
Applicants must note that while on the trial period they must keep in touch with Huawei to report issues and bugs.
The official release date of Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Huawei Honor 6 and Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will be some time in Summer of 2015, GSM Arena reported.
Meanwhile, Huawei has been awarded the "Biggest Contribution to 5G Development" at 5G World Summit 2015 held in Amsterdam, Netherlands for "for its continuous innovation and industry contributions to 5G particularly for the new air interface technologies" that include foundational waveform F-OFDM, SCMA (Sparse Code Multiple Access) and Polar code, Parliament Magazine reported.
