The newly released trailer of "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" is proving to certainly save the best for last.
The first official trailer of the last movie in the franchise was reportedly released late Tuesday, and it showed another set of characters finding an old footage of young Katie as they watch it and find more demons.
The trailer of "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" reveal to viewers to they are going to look forward to a scarier finale to the franchise with appearances of hauntings on a pond, new images of demons, a little girl chanting the Bloody Mary and revealing a horrific face, and more.
"It's stuff like this that makes me wish Paranormal Activity wasn't coming to an end," writer Stuart Heritage said in his trailer review published on The Guardian.
He added, "If it had continued, then five years from now we could be watching a found-footage movie of people watching found footage of people watching found footage of people watching found footage of people watching found footage of people watching an unbroken 20-minute CCTV film about a staircase."
"Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" producer Jason Blum said in a report by USA Today that this movie would be the last in the franchise that started in 2009.
"It's coming to an end. This is it, the finale," Blum said. "This will keep 'Paranormal Activity' as part of this culture and this particular time in really fantastic way."
He promised that the last movie would let the viewers at peace as it answers questions about the entire franchise such as who the demon Toby really is.
"All the questions that everyone has asked from the past Paranormal Activity films: What does Toby look like? What's the backstory to the families? These questions have been teased out. Now they will be answered," Blum added.
"Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" is directed by Gregory Plotkin and is about the Fleeges family who move in a house and find a video camera and a set of tapes in the garage. The movie is set to be shown in 3D this October.
