"Altruism runs deep in the family."
That was the statement previously said of Angelina Jolie's family back when news of the then seven-year-old Shiloh Jolie Pitt thinking of helping the homeless was first reported.
Back in Decemeber of 2013 OK! Magazine reported that the now nine-year-old Shiloh "wanted to do something charitable on her own, over Christmas."
"Angie's influence of altruism runs deep in the family. She manages to find ways to take at least one or two of her children with her when doing service for the United Nations or Unicef, and that experience has worn off," as revealed by an insider close to the family.
Shiloh's intentions reported
Two years later Angelina and Brad Pitt's daughter is not only thinking about it, she's doing it.
According to Daily Mail UK, the 40-year-old Hollywood superstar has brought her daughter with her on a visit to a Syrian refugee camp in southeastern Turkey.
Ange, who serves as a Special Envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees, came to visit the homeless with her eldest biological daughter.
While Shiloh Jolie Pitt did not speak about her thoughts about what she saw during the visit, according to her mom,
"Never before have so many people been dispossessed or stripped of their human rights," Jolie said.
The number of people displaced from their homes reached record breaking statistics of 59.5 million and Angelina Jolie accompanied by her daughter Shiloh Jolie Pitt, warned people that Syrians and Iraqis are now "running out of places to run to."
"There is an explosion of human suffering and displacement on a level that has never been seen before," Jolie said.
"It is hard to point to a single instance where, as an international community, we are decisively addressing the root causes of refugee flows."
