Los Angeles Lakers Trade News: Title Contending Team Being Built By Purple And Gold

| By

The 2015 NBA draft will happen in just a few hours but the buzz around it was silenced by several Los Angeles Lakers trade news.

In the last couple of days, the Kobe Bryant-led team has been making round the news for rumors linking them to several All-Star players. Lakers failed to reach the playoffs in the last two seasons and they are now in rebuilding stage.

Last year, they got Julius Randle for their 7th overall pick but then lost him to injury at the start of the season. This year, they own the second pick but according to reports, there is a possibility they will trade it for an All-Star player.

Latest Los Angeles Lakers trade news reported Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade could land at Staples Arena with the two parties having mutual interest.

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated wrote in his Twitter account that the three-time NBA champ is contemplating the idea of leaving Florida as he about to hit free agency.

Another player being linked in a Los Angeles Lakers trade news is All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins of Sacramento Kings. This was first reported by Marc Stein of ESPN.

"The Los Angeles Lakers have emerged as one of the most determined trade suitors for Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, according to league sources," Stein wrote.

"Sources told ESPN that the Lakers have been actively pursuing trade scenarios in recent weeks in attempt to construct a deal that would convince the Kings to part with Cousins."

Los Angeles Lakers lacks quality big men and DeMarcus Cousin could more than fill the hole. As for Dwyane Wade, he can surely carry the scoring load for Lakers or maybe become the team's number one star with Kobe Bryant nearing retirement.

Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, DeMarcus Cousin, plus quality rookie point guard Jordan Clarkson - will these guys be enough to turn Los Angeles Lakers into a title contender again?
