"Orphan Black" season 3 finale tied some loose ends.
Mrs. S finally learned the truth about her mother who turned out to be the original source of genes where Tatiana Maslany's clones were based from.
Prolethean clone Mark (Ari Millen) also reunited with his girlfriend Gracie even though some of his brothers vanished. The finale also saw deaths, particularly of Delphine (Evelyne Brochu).
The "Orphan Black" season 3 finale appear as an "almost happy ending" for the female clones, particularly for Helena, Alison, and Sarah.
However, all the troubles were not completely erased. Season 4 will see the main clones deal with a bigger enemy but that is not the only thing that will keep their hands busy.
Alison and husband Donnie got into some trouble for seeking the help of a drug lord. They were able to overcome it in "Orphan Black" season 3 finale with the help of Helena.
Although the Hendrix couple think they are now completely clean from dealing contraband, little did they know is that some allies of those drug lords Helena killed will return. The interesting part here is Alison is completely clueless what her husband and her sister did.
According to a spoiler from TV Line's Matt Webb Mitovich:
"Remember how Helena went all killer crazy and murdered those drug lords? That bloody massacre may come back to haunt Alison's happily ever after with Donnie. "The Hendrixes are still bonded, but there's a few things that happened at the end of the season that could have some impact going forward," executive producer Graeme Manson teases."
"Orphan Black" season 4, according to series co-creator John Fawcett, will return to how it was in its freshman year. Does it still include meaner drug lords who have better fighting skills?
"I want from season four a vibe of season one again," Fawcett said when asked by Variety about their plans for season four.
"I want a lot of that paranoia back, and Sarah following a first-person mystery, and a feeling of not knowing where we stand again, and having the audience not know where we stand. When Graeme and I talked about it, it was like, "how do we give it a feeling of conclusion after three seasons and now push towards our bigger mystery?" We just wanted a reset after season three and a big emotional ending."
