Two similarly high profile moms but with two different life goals -- far from Kim Kardashian spoiling North West with a $2 million worth of designer clothes, Victoria Beckham has recently made donations of her little girl's designer clothes for the benefit of charity Save the Children.
Victoria Beckham's reported donations were 25 of her daughter Harper's designer clothes whose brands range from Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney. Her daughter's designer clothes are displayed and sold at Mary's Living and Giving Shop in London.
"I am delighted to be supporting the wonderful work of 'Save The Children' through the 'Fashion Saves Lives' sale," the former Spice Girl said in a report by Harper's Bazaar Singapore. "As a mother, I passionately believe that all children, wherever they live, have the right to a happy, healthy life."
She added, "Everyone out there can do their part by purchasing or donating, ensuring children all around the world have the opportunity for a brighter future."
This Victoria Beckham donation seems to be the opposite of how Kim Kardashian "spoils" her daughter North West of designer clothes reportedly priced at $2 million dollars - with a "state-of-the-art" home security system specially designed for North's wardrobe.
"[North West] rarely, if ever, wears the same thing twice," an insider told Hollywood Life. "Kim pays top dollar for her baby's wardrobe and most of Nori's outfits are custom-made with only the best fabrics."
Maybe Kim Kardashian would want to line up for the designer clothes worn by Victoria Beckham's daughter Harper?
When the items donated by the British singer began to be displayed in the shop, people reportedly started lining up as early as six in the morning from the 10 a.m. opening. After a few hours, half of Victoria Beckham daughter's designer clothes had reportedly been sold.
Save The Children, the charity where the money proceeds from Victoria Beckham's donation will go, works to protect children's rights around the world.
