When the news came out that Beyonce is probably joining the cast of "The Avengers" as one of the female Avengers, fans of the Marvel Universe reacted on Twitter and said they do not want the singer in.
Daily Star UK exclusively reported Beyonce is soon going back to her movie career as a comic book heroine for one of the upcoming movies of "The Avengers."
"We would love to have Beyonce on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel's existing catalog of comic book characters," a Disney senior executive said in the report.
The plan to have Beyonce as one of the female Avengers is reportedly being discussed by the producers of Marvel and Disney. The report said producers want her to be part of the cast of "The Avengers," following the success of the most recent sequel "Age of Ultron," which reportedly made billions at the box office.
According to Daily Star UK, the producers think that when Beyonce becomes one of the female Avengers and plays a heroine role alongside Scarlett Johansson who portrays Black Widow, her appearance could "add millions of fans."
Beyonce is reportedly being considered as one of the female Avengers for the roles of Boom-Boom, Blink, Tigra and Hawkeye. Boom-boom is a secret agent with the power to create lethal bombs through her mind, while Blink is a teleporter. Tigra, meanwhile is a cat-like heroine with superhuman strength, agility and speed, while Hawkeye has an expertise in sword combat.
There are currently two sequels in line for the Marvel franchise, "The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" and "The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" which are reportedly scheduled for release in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Aside from being eyed as one of the female Avengers, Beyonce has starred in movies such as "Dreamgirls" and "The Pink Panther" in 2006.
Marvel fans don't want Beyonce
Marvel fans took on Twitter and expressed dismay over this rumor.
User Patrick Star tweeted, "If Beyonce joins the Avengers, I'm burning my Marvel collection."
Some users are disagreeing to the report. Twitter user Black Jason Pitts said he wants to keep Beyonce away from the Avengers franchise.
Meanwhile, a graphic and visual artist even quipped on Twitter, referring to her possible role as Hawkeye, "Beyonce is gonna be in the next Avengers. And then the next Halloween all the birds gonna be dressed up as her."
But some Marvel fans are not too selfish, sharing on Twitter that they are open to welcome Beyonce in the universe as one of the female Avengers, if she will play She-Hulk.
