The release date of "Ant-Man" is just a few weeks away and yet many fans are still yearning for more spoilers.
During a recent interview with MTV, the executive producer of Marvel Studios spilled out some juicy details about Paul Rudd's upcoming movie. Kevin Feige first revealed how excited he was that he's crossing another character in his "Avengers" bucket list.
"He [Ant-Man] and Wasp are on the cover of that first issue of 'Avengers.' I don't know if they're around here, but in the offices at Disney, we have big blow-ups of 'Avengers' #1, and I just love the fact that each of those characters are finally coming to life - and two more will be heading there in this movie," Marvel's head honcho said.
Speaking of the Wasp, Kevin Feig confirmed that the female superhero will be appearing in "Ant-Man."
"She factors in a number of spoiler-ish ways," he said. "But we will see Janet van Dyne in action in this film, and sort of what happened to her." Based on Wikia, Jan is a college student who works with Hank Pym at Greyburn College in New York City.
Hank Pym is played by Michael Douglas in the movie, but the actress that will portray Wasp still remains unknown. According to Cinema Blend, Evangeline Lilly who will play Hope Van Dyne could also be Janet Van Dyne or if not related to her. She even shared a selfie on Instagram showing her new hairdo which made her look even more like the Wasp in Marvel Comics.
Evangeline Lilly revealed to MTV the relationship of her character with Hank Pym. "Hope and her father don't get along very well," she said. "And they haven't for many years, for most of her life." Michael Douglas also shared new revelations about his character. "There's a dark side to Hank, and it makes him understand where someone like Darren [Cross] can go, and where he's going to go," the 70-year-old actor said.
There were also rumors coming out that Michael Douglas' character could be Yellowjacket as opposed to Darren Cross [Corey Stoll]. According to Bad Ass Digest, Hank Pym has the Yellow jacket for quite some time and he also had different superhero identities, which means that there's a possibility that he could be the new villain in "Ant-Man." Find out on July 17, 2015.
