Following reports that Bethesda has compromised "Fallout 4" graphics for its gameplay, the giant gaming studio finally issued an official statement.
Bethesda Softworks' official Twitter account posted that while the game is confirmed to run on 1080p/30fps for PS4 and Xbox One come its release date, PC gamers will not necessarily experience the same resolution.
"Fallout 4 is 1080p & 30fps on Xbox One and PS4," it said on the official statement. "Resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC."
Furthermore, it stated that the PC requirements of "Fallout 4" will be announced prior its November release date.
The news claiming that the graphics of "Fallout 4" has been sacrificed because of its gameplay quality reportedly came from Digital Spy, which claimed that the game will run entirely at 1080p per 30 frames-per-second on all platforms quoting director Todd Howard as saying that the game will be "1080p on everything."
However, while Bethesda clarified rumors that the PC release date will also experience the same 1080p resolution on all platforms, it still hasn't got the best graphics there is.
And to address such issues, marketing executive Pete Hines said that they tried to balance the graphics with its gameplay.
"Everything that we do is a balance," Hines said. "We could make the best looking game possible, but we dial some of that back in order to allow for all of these other things."
Instead on merely focusing on providing superb graphics and sacrificing its gameplay, Hines explained that the game will allow players to have the freedom to choose and do whatever they want in the game.
"If you want to pick flowers and make potions all day, then that's what you're role-playing," he said. "If you want to go shoot everybody in the head with a laser-musket, then that's what you're role-playing."
