Shaq has bought a $235K house in Florida, sparking speculation about why the millionaire basketball player would buy a 'normal house.'
Shaquille O'Neal's latest purchase, first reported by TMZ on Sunday, is thirty miles away from his mansion which is valued to be worth $250 million.
The former NBA star's new home is 3,900 square feet and has 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, granite counter tops and a bar.
It remains unclear if Shaq picked up the home in foreclosure. But Florida has along with Texas and California led the nation in foreclosure this year.
As reported by WBAA, foreclosure markets have dramatically changed this year because of the manner in which states adjudicate the legal claims. "Non-judicial states, including California and Arizona, raced through foreclosures in the first part of the housing bust and are now seeing foreclosures decline. Judicial states, including Florida, have had a slower process and are still seeing foreclosures rise. "
Meanwhile, his current 70,000-square-foot mansion boasts 11 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a screening room, and an indoor 20,000-square-foot basketball court. Shaq lives with his girlfriend, reality TV star Nikki 'Hoopz' Alexander.
