Meizu MX5 confirmed to debut in China on June 30, GSM Arena reported.
Ahead of the expected Meizu MX5 release date, promotional posters and invites that have been recently sent out revealed some of its notable feature. With the "full metal jacket" and "born to kill" words used, it is safe to assume that the upcoming flagship will be enclosed in a metal unibody build.
As per previous leaks, the Meizu MX5 may sport a 5.5-inch Full HD touchscreen display, a 20MP rear camera and a 3MP front-facing camera, but could possibly sport a 41MP Nokia-made camera sensor since Nokia and Meizu were rumored to merge in the near future.
Underhood would be a MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset clocked at 2.3GHz octa-core CPU supported by a 3GB RAM and an onboard 16GB of internal memory, while some rumors suggest that it will run on Samsung-made Exynos 7420 chipset, 4GB of RAM.
The phone will be powered by a 3,150mAh battery and will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS under Meizu's very own Flyme OS. (via Phone Arena)
On the other hand, Meizu started its pre-order of the M2 Note priced at just $173.99. Though it carries an affordable price tag it offers decent specs for a mid-ranger. (via IB Times)
It packs a 5.5-inch display with full HD 1080p screen resolution with brightness level and contrast ratio stand at 450 nits and 1000:1, respectively. (Phone Arena)
As for its processor, it has a 64-bit, octa-core (MediaTek MT6753) processor and 2 GB of RAM unit. Moving onto the camera department, it sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a selfie snapper of 5MP.
Also, it runs on Flyme 4.5, Meizu's own UI, along with Android Lollipop 5.0 OS and supports LTE-4G network for faster internet connection.
