The Samsung Galaxy A8 is expected to be unveiled soon as it has been reportedly passed TENNA certification.
Following the leaked specs of the Samsung Galaxy A8, the latest update on the upcoming Samsung device reveals an imminent release date and ahead of the yet to be announced launch TENAA certification reveals some of its specs and notable features.
According to the listing, it has been confirmed that the upcoming Samsung device with model number SM-A8000 will sport a large 5.7-inch, as opposed to be previous leaked of a 5.5-inch, with Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution.
Aside from the large screen display, the TENAA listing went on that its octa-core processor is clocked at 1.5GHz supported by 2GB of RAM and on board 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through a microSD up to 128GB. As for its camera, it will pack a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front snapper. It will also run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop fresh out of the box. (via Phone Arena)
The chipset used on the Samsung Galaxy A8 was not specified, GSM Arenaspeculates that "the smartphone's position in the lineup point to a Snapdragon 615 with it's performance cores clocked slightly below Qualcomm's specified maximum of 1.7GHz."
Though the device would be classified as a mid-range phone, when released it will be Samsung's thinnest phone as to date if the dimensions of 158 × 76.77 × 5.94 mm are to believed. Compared to the Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 it is 4.5mm longer and a little lighter at 140g.
In addition, rumors claim that it the 4G/LTE capable phone will be powered by a 3,050 mAh battery.
