Finally, Marvel is actively moving forward with "Doctor Strange" movie.
Now that "Ant-Man" starring Paul Rudd is all set for release on July 17, 2015, all eyes are reportedly on Benedict Cumberbatch's dark superhero movie.
Following announcement that Tilda Swinton is in negotiations to join Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange, being directed by Scott Derrickson," new update claims that "12 Years A Slave" star Chiwetel Ejiofor is also included in the line up.
Apparently, Ejiofor is stepping in to play the role of Stephen Strange's frenemy Baron Mordo.
"Deadline has learned definitively what role Chiwetel Ejiofor will play when he suits up for Doctor Strange, the Scott Derrickson-directed Marvel Studiosfilm that will star Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character. Ejiofor, rumored to be joining the film, will play Baron Mordo, an enemy of Doctor Strange who first appeared in the comic Strange Tales in 1963," the publication confirmed.
While there hasn't been a confirmation yet, Tilda Swinton on the other hand, is reportedly going to play Doctor Strange's mentor.
"The actress is negotiations to portray the Ancient One, the Tibetan mystic who is a mentor to Dr. Strange," the publication revealed.
While new actors are being tapped for a role, lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch is also actively gearing up for the project.
He is reportedly preparing himself physically for Marvel's "Doctor Strange."
Apparently the "Sherlock" star is getting all beefed up for his portrayal of Stephen Strange.
The 38-year-old award winning actor is reportedly getting ready to be in the likes of other Marvel superheroes namely, Thor, Captain America and Star Lord, who are portrayed by hunk actors Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Chris Pratt.
Apparently, Cumberbatch is determined to bring justice to his character that he is "wolfing double the daily amount of calories and spending hours with a personal trainer," according to The Sun.
Adding, "Dr Strange was always muscly in the cartoons so Benedict has to look the part when they start filming in the autumn.
"Skinny Sherlock Holmes will be the last thing anyone thinks about."
"Doctor Strange" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2016.
