Amanda Bynes Suing In Touch Magazine for Naked Tan Salon Story

| By

Amanda Bynes has been facing ongoing publicity surrounding her two hit-and-runs and drug use, but now the actress is taking matters into her own hands and says she will sue In Touch magazine for fabricating a story she walked around naked in a tanning salon.

In Touch magazine came out with a story Thursday that claimed the 26-year-old "Easy A" actress had been walking around at Beach Bump tanning salon in New York completely naked.

"She walked out of the room completely naked," the publication quotes a source as saying. "She didn't seem to care that everyone saw her naked. She seemed totally out of it... There was definitely something wrong with her."

Amanda Bynes is threatening legal action against the magazine, according to gossip website Celebuzz. The report says Bynes denied In Touch's story (via text mesage) and also said that "she'd sue."

"I'm suing In Touch for printing a fake story," Bynes tells Us Weekly. "I'm not 'troubled.' I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multimillionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy."

Bynes is still facing a DUI, two hit-and-run counts and two charges for driving with a suspended license. In September, after her car was impounded, Bynes announced that she was retired as an actor and moved to New York to start a clothing line.
