Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard have this undeniable chemistry. They are amongst the many reasons why their TV series "Empire" is one of the hit series of 2015.
The two have worked together before in hip-hop movie "Hustle and Flow." Henson and Howard continue to be good friends all these years. Now, with many fans noticing how good they look together, why they have never dated each other?
Speaking to Allure Magazine, Henson insisted dating co-stars, whether among "Empire" TV series cast or other projects, never crossed his mind. She said she'd rather be known for his work and not for the man she got intimate with.
"I always wanted to be known for my work. Not who I dated. Not who I slept with. ... I have a gift, and my gift is acting," the Empire star tells Allure in the magazine's July issue.
"I started in the business at 26 with a kid, so I was smart enough to know reality from fantasy. I didn't want to blur the lines. This is a job that I have to do. I cannot get caught up in it. And if I sleep with these guys, why would they want to work with me again?"
As for Terrence Howard's legal troubles that includes womanizing and violence against women, the "Empire" TV series led cast said all people have flaws.
"I just know him. We trust each other," she said."Let's pop the trunk to your life and see what's dysfunctional and what's bad.... At the end of the day, we're all human and we got flaws and we got shit."
"Empire" season 2 release date is September 23 and when the show returns, characters of Howard and Henson, will be estrange to each other again.
Lucius is now in jail believing his former wife Cookie has something to do with it. Also returning in "Empire" season 2 are Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, and Bryshere Gray who all play as sons of Cookie and Lyon.
