"Heroes Reborn" will be joining Comic Con this year, according to Deadline!
According to entertainment news site, the event became a launch pad for Tim Kring's original TV series "Heroes". Appearing in the 2006 panel made the then little known superhero series into an overnight success.
Nearly a decade later, NBC is hoping that "Heroes Reborn" joining Comic Con 2015 will do the same thing for the reboot as it did to the first series.
Unfortunately, the original cast won't be joining the panel this time, except for Jack Coleman who played overprotective father and secret agent Noah Bennett. He was in charge of finding normal individuals with special powers for the Company, all the while hiding his own adopted daughter (Claire Bennett) who had regenerative powers.
Deadline reported that show creator Tim Kring will also be joined by returning star Greg Grunberg, who played Matt Parkman, who had telepathic powers. He will be moderating the question and answer session of the event.
The show's new cast members Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, Danika Yarosh and Rya Kihlstedt will also be joining the panel depending on "production availability."
Instead of a full episode during the panel, the "Heroes Reborn" Comic Con panel will reportedly give fans an extended preview for the series which will be released this Fall.
The panel will happen on July 12 in San Diego.
Aside from Tim Kring's 13-episode reboot of the cult classic, Universal TV will also be sending existing Friday night favorite, "Grimm" to the event a day before "Heroes Reborn".
According to Zap2It, fans can ask their questions about "Grimm" to cast members David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, Claire Coffee as well as executive producers Jim Kouf, David Greenwalt and Norberto Barba during the Q&A session.
