There have been rumors coming out that Ariana Grande is dating Niall Horan. After her breakup with Big Sean, the 21-year-old singer has been linked to the One Direction member. During an interview with the Sun, the pop star denied the rumors and aired out her frustrations.
"I'm tired of needing to be linked to a guy, I'm not Big Sean's ex, I'm not Niall [Horan's] new possible girl. I'm Ariana Grande," she said. After that interview, the songstress tried to explain what she meant about that statement by posting an essay on Instagram.
"What I meant when I said what I said about not being Sean's ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man's past, present, or future PROPERTY / POSSESSION," the pop sensation wrote. "I... do not. belong. to anyone. but myself. and neither do you."
Ariana Grande may have thought that her essay will end the dating rumors with Niall Horam, but that was not the case. Just recently, the rumored couple was spotted partying in Spain. However, they are not alone as other friends join them in celebrating Alfredo Flores' birthday.
According to Hollywood Life, the "Bang Bang" hitmaker and the boyband member arrived separately at the restaurant where their common friend is holding his party. This wasn't the first time that the two singers were spotted hanging out.
A few weeks ago, Ariana was photographed leaving Niall's home in the wee hours. However, her rep denied that they were dating and explained why she was there during that time. "Ariana is friends with Niall. He had a big party that she was leaving," the songstress' rep said.
Big Sean's former lover explained to J-14 what happened that night. "My friend Fredo [Alfredo Flores] is really close with Niall and he came to my show in London, I met him there, he was super nice," the former Nickelodeon star said. "We then all went over [to Niall's] for a game night, it was really fun."
Ariana Grande also confessed how she felt about the dating rumors with Niall Horan. "He's really nice, [but] I'm honestly so tired of talking about dating and my love life and everything," she said. "We're absolutely perfectly fine on our own and we can talk about our music, our work, our [awesome] tours around the world. Why don't we talk about that as opposed to who we're currently flirting with?" the pop princess added.
