“Game of Thrones” season 5 finale is one of the most mind boggling in the show's history, probably. The entire one hour was spent on building up the characters' journey for next season. While each sequences featuring main cast, particularly Arya and Daenarys, are compelling, some still cannot get over the fact that the show killed off one of its most beloved characters, Jon Snow (Kit Harington). For this move, GoT directors, as well as author George RR Martin, received a ton of backlash from fans.
While the main concern for fans is the death of the Wall's courageous knight, some would not let Cersei's walk of shame scene go. In this scene, Lena Headey's character had to walk a number of meters completely naked. While this appears necessary for the storyline, some conservative think the show should have just cut it.
Other people even think directors should have just gotten Headey a double.
For Headey, her Emmy-trophy attracting scene in the “Game of Thrones” season 5 finale is a sign that Cersei is showing she can be weak, too. While some viewers could not stand it. Headey loves it.
“I loved doing that scene. I love when you get a good long David and Dan scene between two driven characters. It was Cersei showing real vulnerability and desperation and yet lying, all at the same time, which is one of Cersei’s natural gifts.”
