Disney has yet to officially announce an "Indiana Jones 5" movie following its acquisition of the George Lucas' franchise in 2012, yet there are already rumors claiming that Chris Pratt would replace Harrison Ford as the next Indy.
According to Deadline an "Indiana Jones 5" movie is most likely in development already and an announcement could be given anytime soon.
During an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the 35-year-old actor was questioned about his involvement with "Indiana Jones 5."
"Interesting...I don't remember going over that....I don't know, that's....this movies is...to get to your question, Jurassic World opens on June 12," he answered.
Furthermore, he teased that he could have been actually given a call, but unfortunately missed it.
"Well, I have no answer to it, I don't know," he quipped. "I mean, no one has....I missed a phone call the other day, unknown number. I hope it wasn't him."
TMZ cameraman previously had a run in with Chris Pratt and asked if he's in talks for "Indiana Jones 5" already.
"We can't assume it's confirmed yet, but you are in talks right?" TMZ cameraman asked Pratt.
"I do...No. That's the problem... I don't know, I might be, I just got back from the woods killing a bunch of stuff," he confusedly answered the question.
While he was not able to give a clear answer to the speculations, the fact that he did not deny the speculations only fueled the rumors.
Disney is apparently looking for an actor who could potentially portray the role of Indiana Jones for a long time.
"Regarding Harrison Ford, two more Indiana Jones features are in the negotiation stages as per Ford's contract clause on 'Star Wars,' which is the primary reason he didn't 'publicly' or 'privately' commit, or so I'm told," a source told MarketSaw back in February last year.
