‘Dark Souls 3’ Release Date: Bandai Namco Announced At E3 2015 That The Last Franchise Will Be Available Thru Steam, PS4 And Xbox One, Coming In Early 2016

Bandai Namco's "Dark Souls 3" release date was announced at E3 2015.

In accordance to the previous rumors, "Dark Souls 3" has been confirmed by its game developer that it will be made available early 2016; The game had been rumored to be an Xbox One and PS4 exclusive, but it turned out that it will also available on PC. (via PC Gamer)

The announcement was made through Microsoft's press conference with a short sneak peak of its trailer, though it was unexpected that Bandai Namco's last instalment of the franchise will appear at Microsoft's event at E3 2015.

"The trailer revealed people walking with sticks across a barren wasteland and a giant castle looms over them. The trademark creepy environments of the souls series were front and center, with the trailer's climax featuring a giant man wielding a massive cleaver at the end." (via IGN

It was also presumed that "Dark Souls and Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki will be in charge of the development team for Dark Souls 3. Miyazaki supervised the creation of Dark Souls 2, which was recently re-released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 under the name Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin edition." (via Tech Times)

The trailer only provided a sneak peek of "Dark Souls 3" gameplay, and we've learned a little information about the game.

But going back to the previous leaks, it has been suggested that it will feature the following: (via Kotaku)

  • 1-to-4 players.
  • A sacrifice ritual allows you to enter other games, but puts a bounty on your head.
  • It's now possible to create bonfires.
  • The world can be altered in ways that change the bosses you fight.
  • Players can equip "swordfighting arts" that act as special moves.
