Robert Pattinson's family gave their blessings on his fiancée FKA Twigs so it is about time that Kristen Stewart's mom also gives her approval on her new girlfriend Alicia Cargile.
The 25-year-old actress finally found new love two years after her breakup from the 29-year-old actor.
Kristen and her former personal assistant have been spotted hanging out all the time, but the two never confirmed nor denied their relationship.
The lesbian rumors started in February and there have been reports coming out that the gay couple have been living together.
After months of speculation, the mother of the "Twilight" superstar has finally confirmed the real score between Kristen Stewart and Alicia Cargile. During an interview with Sunday Mirror, Jules Stewart admitted that she has already met her daughter's new lover. "I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, I like her. What's not to accept? She's a lovely girl."
The 55-year-old indie filmmaker pointed out that people should learn to accept who other people love - whether they are women or men.
"People are good to do whatever they like as long as they're not hurting people or breaking the law," Jules said. "I have gay friends, family members, I'm accepting of people, we are all free to choose who we want to love."
Despite her approval on Kristen Stewart's relationship with Alicia Cargile, she still wanted her to explore more of life.
"They were a great couple, but she's 25 years old and I'd like to see her have a lot more life experience before she chooses someone to settle down with," Jules explained.
The wolf advocate also opened up about her daughter's failed relationship with the British heartthrob.
"I'm very sad that Kristen and Robert didn't have a chance to be alone together, they had to have the whole world with them and all the public stuff ruined everything, life became overwhelming," she said.
There have been rumors coming out that Kristen Stewart is bitter and angry over Robert Pattinson's engagement with FKA Twigs, but her mom denied the reports.
"She's not unhappy at all. She's thrilled to death that she's working, she's still friends with her ex-boyfriend and she's moving forward," Jules said. "There is nothing I can do about her relationships - in the end you just hope she's happy."
