50 Cent Disses 'Empire' Which Will Come Back For Season 2; Says His Own Show 'Power' Is Better Than The Fox Musical Drama

| By

When it comes to musical drama, it seems everyone is mostly looking forward to "Empire" season 2 release date. The Fox TV series is one of the major winners in 2015, dominating ratings week per week.

One person is having none of it though. Rapper and producer 50 Cent, who is behind Starz hip-hop drama "Power," is not impressed with the show starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.

In his Instagram post, Curtis Jackson dissed "Empire" saying it is something people can get free but his own television drama is something worth some money. "Power" is still airing its first season while "Empire" season 2 release date is on September 23.

"EMPIRE is some sh!t you should get for free. Now that power is worth paying for, STARZ premium cable. SAT, 9pm lol #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO" - 50 cent wrote on the caption of the pictur featuring him.

This is not the first time he dissed "Empire" TV series. Last February, he accused the Fox series of copying his own show and took a jab on Empire's storyline is "extremely fast" and does not understand what is going on. He did say though he is happy about its success.

In an interview with Vulture earlier this month, 50 cent insisted that he did it first before "Empire" and that "Power" is better.

"Comparing the two is comparing two hit television shows at this point, but of course I'm first," the rapper told Vulture on the red carpet. "I'm first, and my show is better. I'll make Terrence Howard tell you I'm first and my show is better."

He also acknowledged the talent of Empire's young artists, particularly Bryshere Gray and Jussie Smollett who play brothers in the show. Still, he made it known that he is better than the two. Vulture wrote:

""Yazz" Gray at first, saying their Billboard Awards performance was "cool." But he also took the opportunity to remind everyone that he was still better. "Ain't nobody on Empire cast better than me ... What's that boy's name again, that be doing the singing on Empire?" Jussie Smollett, we reply. "That one, and who else? What's the other one?" Yazz. "Man I don't even know him! Don't nobody know him!" Sorry, boys, we guess you'll just have to take your No. 1 album elsewhere."

Too bad though, the two shows do not air on the same time slot. When "Empire" season 2 release date comes, "Power" is already done and will be waiting for its second season.
