A new Emma Watson horror film will make the actress who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series is reportedly a team up between two alumni from the film.
Inquistr recently reported that the new Emma Watson horror flick titled "Regression," teams up Watson with 52-year-old actor David Thewlis, the actor who played Remus Lupin in "Harry Potter."
Set for release this August 28, "Regression" is set in Minnesota in the 1990s where Emma Watson will portray Angela Gray and will include stories on sexual abuse charges filed against her father in the movie, the report said.
Doctor Kenneth Raines, played by David Thewlis, confronts the case and helps her father remember the sexual abuse in question.
US Magazine also reported that this new Emma Watson horror film features a scene where Watson is telling detectives and investigators about facing demonic characters and satanic images. The report said a satanic cult is possibly involved in the case.
From the trailer of the new Emma Watson horror film, her character can be heard saying, "I heard a knock at the door. There was an old lady. They were headed for my dad's workshop. I could hear chanting. They were wearing robes. I think they were following me."
The scary trailer opens with Emma Watson's father in the story making a confession to a detective saying, "I did it."
The trailer ends with a montage shot of a group that seemed to be acting satanically in concert. "Regression" will be directed by Alejandro Amenabar, whose works include "The Others" and "Agora" with award-winning actress Rachel Weisz.
It will be among the few movies where viewers will see Emma Watson speak in American accent, Inquistr noted.
"Regression" also features actors Devon Bostick of "The 100," Aaron Ashmore of "Smallville," and David Dencik who plays Angela's father.
