After creating sets for hit comedy series "The Big Bang Theory," LEGO welcomes Disney Pixar's Wall-E as the company released new images of the robot made with LEGO pieces, Franchise Herald has the details of the release date and price.
New images of the LEGO version of Wall-E has come out prior to the release date, after almost two years of getting support from enthusiasts and fans.
"The title robot from Disney Pixar's WALL-E. I worked on the movie and this was the model that I was building and refining as the film progressed. I started building this LEGO version of WALL-E around the same time the computer model was being built in late summer of 2005 and finished three years later," LEGO fan and Pixel Animator Angus MacLane shared in the official website.
The website also said the LEGO Wall-E project, way before the release date, had no supporters when it started last October 2013. Now the project has reportedly garnered 10,000 supporters from different communities.
"Mostly I build with LEGO as a way to unwind from a day spent in front of the computer," said MacLane in an interview with Brothers Brick. "The tactile nature of LEGO can be much more satisfying than working in the often intangible realm of the computer. Also, a large part of an animator's job is to clearly communicate an idea through the pose of a character. I think this is similar to building with LEGO where part of the goal is to sculpt clear shapes that communicate the purpose of the creation."
According to Tech Times, the LEGO Wall-E set is expected to go on sale in December for about $40 dollars, and that the number of pieces is still unknown. The website believes the reported price places it in around the 300-400 piece range based on LEGO's standards.
The fans of the LEGO Wall-E are excited for the release date though it has not yet been announced.
