The last ever "Idol" champion will be found in one of these cities and we can't help but wonder if he or she will become as huge a star as the first ever winner.
Kelly Clarkson came out victorious in the series' first ever season nearly 15 years ago and has since become one of the American music industry's best belters.
However, only a handful of subsequent winners managed to stay relevant for a long period of time (Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, etc). Of course, a lot of the finalists, who failed to nab the title also became very successful, such as Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert and more.
Will the one last aspiring winner barge into the music industry just as Clarkson, Underwood, Hudson, and Lambert did?
Arizona Central doesn't really think that the upcoming final "Idol" winner will carry the same "cultural currency" as Clarkson did in 2002. Nevertheless, wannabe singers will still flock the "American Idol" season 15 auditions for a last chance at fame. If they fail to get in, however, they can still try their luck in other singing audition programs.
Meanwhile, it's still unsure whether current judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will be joined by past judges of the show. The original trio, Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, are reportedly in talks to once again appear in the last ever season of the show.
