Adele is reportedly set to work on a new James Bond movie song prior to releasing a new album.
Following the hit original sound track of the James Bond movie titled "Skyfall," the British actress is said to have been short listed again together with Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Faith, Latin Post reported quoting Daily Star.
"Adele was just one of a few artists asked to write and record the title track for 'Spectre,'" a source reportedly revealed. "Sam Smith was the favorite to be picked among insiders, but Adele has got the nod."
"It is huge pressure for her after the unbelievable success of 'Skyfall.' It is a massive scoop for the film, too, as the world awaits her third hugely delayed album."
And while her new album is expected to be released this year, Adele has reportedly delayed the launch, claiming that she needed to attend to personal matters first, according to Digital Spy.
Furthermore, Adele's music producer Emile Haynie claimed that the "Skyfall" singer is not speeding things up when it comes to her new album.
"Adele was awesome, but I don't know if we'll be working together," Haynie said. "We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time."
"I'd push for it to happen, but we'll have to wait and see."
On the other hand The Daily Star claimed that Adele is set to release a surprise new album just like Beyonce's.
"The plan is to release internationally on iTunes as a complete surprise without any previous promotion or build-up publicity campaign," the source reportedly said. "The shock tactics worked amazingly well for Beyoncé and the feeling is Adele's new album is so widely anticipated it doesn't need a long promotional build-up."
