Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) life is about to get even more complicated in "The Originals" season 3.
Although he managed to keep his daughter, Hope, safe from her power-hungry aunt, he also lost most of his loved ones in the aftermath.
Will he be able to keep his daughter safe from the new danger that's about to hit New Orleans soon?
Producers Michael Narducci and Julie Plec previously promised that the Mikaelsons will be facing off with a dangerous new mythology in the next season.
Although they didn't really reveal what this threat will be exactly, TV Line reported that it could be the Harvest Girl Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell)
Last season, she was appointed Regent of the witches, after Vincent refused to take the post. This time, she will have access to powerful, ancestral magic and after being tricked into resurrecting Esther instead of Kohl, she will definitely be exacting her revenge on the original vampires.
"The spirits are going to have access to Davina," Narducci reportedly told TV Line about Davina's role in "The Originals" season 3. "They're going to lend her their power and communicate with her about what's best for the people and witches of New Orleans. That's who she'll be an advocate for, and the Mikaelsons, some would argue, are not the best things in the world for the witches."
The young witch's new power will reportedly "put them at odds" with each other, assuming of course that no other "larger threat" will wreck havoc in New Orleans.
"There are a lot of different ways this could play out," Narducci teased.
Davina's growing powers will definitely put Klaus and hope in danger, especially now that all his former (albeit reluctant) allies have left his side. Rebecca already left town to find her own happiness, Marcel and Elijah are still feeling resentful against him and Hayley (and the rest of her pack) are suffering under the Crescent Curse. Klaus would have to apologize to a lot of peope next season.
"The Originals" season 3 will air this Fall on the CW.
