Want to make $500,000 a year? Consider running a babysitting business.
Noa Mintz, founder and director of babysitting business Nannies By Noa, is reportedly turning her babysitting duties into a thousand-dollar profitable business. Not only is she a successful entrepreneur, but she is a 15-year-old who has been making $500,000 running her business.
"I'm not an A+ student. I have definitely struggled with school," Mintz said in a report by Cambio. "[But] having business, I realized that book smart isn't the same as entrepreneurial smart. I've tried to channel the business to give me more confidence in school."
The babysitting business, which reportedly has grown to 190 clients since Mintz founded the company in 2012, started because she was not impressed by the babysitters her family had. The report said her mother even told her to find a better babysitter for the family because of her negative feedback.
She did, finding babysitters not just for their family but for many families who are looking for quality babysitting services.
So how does the money making work? According to Cambio, Mintz's babysitting business charges a flat $5 fee for babysitters and an initial salary fee of 15 percent for nannies which will reportedly account for about $50,000 to $80,000 in New York.
Nannies by Noa currently employs 25 full-time nannies and 50 baby sitters on her employment roster working about 15 hours a week, the report said.
"Finding the right caregiver for your family is a process, but the reassurance of working with the right person is invaluable," the company website said. "We have nannies for part-time, full-time, and temporary positions, as well as sitters for occasional or one-time sitting."
Babysitting business Nannies By Noa is a full-service childcare agency offering babysitting services to families in New York City and the Hamptons. They have a large pool of sitters and nannies providing quality childcare services for residents.
