While it's been quite a while since CW has confirmed the cancellation of its drama comedy show, "Hart of Dixie" starring Rachel Bilson, fans are still waiting for the lead star's statement.
However, following months of anticipation the 33-year-old actress who is also a first time mom to 6-month-old daughter named Briar Rose, with fiance Hayden Christensen, has remained tightlipped about the issue.
Apparently, Hayden Christensen's fiancee left Los Angeles early on to avoid being questioned about "Hart of Dixie" as it was still hanging on the balance early this year.
However following the announcement of the show's cancellation, the actress was again seen near her home in Los Angeles, where she was photographed by paparazzi.
E! Online reported that, "The actress has rarely been photographed since welcoming daughter Briar Rose Christensen in November 2014, but on Monday, the first-time mom, 33, was seen shopping in Studio City, Calif. Dressed casually in a black tank top and cuffed jeans, the TV star looked effortlessly chic, per usual. Bilson's outing also marked the first time she'd been since in public since The CW canceled Hart of Dixie."
The star failed to provide any statement about the cancellation of "Hart of Dixie" still, instead she continued avoiding the press.
Her actions immediately sparked speculations that she had something to do with the show's demise and while CW president Mark Pedowitz previously announced that the show's rating was the main reason for its cancellation, many believed that it was about the show's lead star.
"We're going to see the ratings," he announced. "I think Leila did a great job in the 10 episodes this year of making something fun for the fans. So if it ends, there's a great finale. If it doesn't end, there's a great season finale, but we're not committed one way or the other yet."
Furthermore, Rachel Bilson's co-star Jamie King had revealed that the decision to axe the show has indeed heavily relied on the star's availability following the birth of Briar Rose.
"It's a tricky situation because it really isn't about ratings for us," she admitted to E! News . "It's not like a ratings issue it was more of a timing issue. Rachel Bilson got pregnant and wanted to take maternity leave. Every woman has a right to do that. I think that everything has an imp at on the way things are decided upon. It's very interesting because our fans are so devoted."
