Last week, a “Daredevil” appearance of Jason Statham was very close to happening after reports claimed “The Transporter” star is already in talks to appear in the Netflix TV series. However, everything turned out otherwise, especially when Statham made insulting comments against the stunts made in several Marvel movies. The British actor said appearing in Marvel movies' action stunts is easy even her grandmother can do it.
Marvel is currently busy with a number of projects right now with “Avengers” stars now in the middle of production of “Captain America: Civil War” which is slated to be screened May next year. So what do they think about Jason Statham's statement against Marvel?
Vulture caught up with Mark Ruffalo who plays Hulk in several Marvel movies. When asked about Jason Statham, his answer could spark a great one-on-one battle.
“I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It's Jason Statham,” he joked. “He's like a featherweight. He's got nothing on me! Clearly.”
Paul Bettany, who played Vision in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, Jason Statham' statement against Marvel somehow saddened him. In a string of Twitter posts, the English actor, just like Statham, also sarcastically reacted on Statham's jab.
Jason Statham hit out at Marvel movies during an interview with Italian entertainment website I 400 Calci:
"I could take my grandma, and put her in a cape and then put her in a green screen and then have stunt doubles come in and do all the action -- anybody can do it," Statham told the website just days after the Jason Statham - “Daredevil” rumors surfaced. "They're relying on stunt doubles and green screen and $200 million budget. It's all CGI-created. To me, that is not authentic."
