Hulk Hogan settled a lawsuit with a disc jockey over a sex tape involving the former pro wrestler and the ex-wife of Bubba the Love Sponge, but still has a lawsuit against Gawker media who uploaded the sex tape.
Hogan settled the civil lawsuit he filed against Florida radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge (real name Todd Alan Clem) in connection with the release of a sex tape starring Hogan and Clem's ex-wife, Heather Clem, according to the LA Times. The lawsuits, filed two weeks ago, revolve around a 6-year-old security-camera tape showing Hulk Hogan having consensual sex with Heather Clem.
Heather has since divorced Bubba (born Todd Clem) after marrying him in 2007, with Hogan as best man.
Bubba had previously accused Hulk of possibly leaking the tape himself. The accusation was made on the radio a couple of weeks ago, the day the lawsuits were filed, when Clem reportedly made it clear that he and his former best friend were no longer friends.
"After further investigation, I am now convinced that Hulk Hogan was unaware of the presence of the recording device in my bedroom. I am convinced he had no knowledge that he was being taped. Additionally, I am certain that he had no role in the release of the video," state Bubba's apology letter, which he also read on his syndicated radio show.
Terms of the settlement, though, are confidential.
Meanwhile, Hogan's $100 million civil lawsuit against Gawker Media, which posted excerpts of the sex tape on its website, remains pending. That video is still available on the website, despite Hogan's demand that it be taken down
