It was reported earlier that famed author JK Rowling will be writing the screenplay for Warner Brothers' Harry Potter spinoff, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them", to the delight of fans all over the world. And according to the studio's film chief, what the bestselling author has come up with was very promising.
"There's a great industry history of authors being great screenwriters," Greg Silverman told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview. "She's so talented, and no surprise, she wrote a brilliant screenplay."
She isn't working on the screenplay on her own, however. Silverman confirmed that Rowling was able to ask for advice from Steve Kloves, who had experience working on the "Harry Potter" films so avid followers can rest assured that the script was in good hands.
Despite Warner Bros. keeping details of the "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" trilogy under wraps, JK Rowling herself has been giving fans hints about the upcoming movies through Twitter.
Her first hint was relayed through an anagram last October. Fans eagerly tried to solve the puzzle: "Newt Scamander only meant to stay in New York for a few hours..."
She recently shared more information about the "Harry Potter" spinoff: Newt Scamander will be meeting student from an American school of magic!
Although she didn't reveal the exact location of the school, she did give out clues as to where it would be from. One thing's confirmed, however, it won't be in New York.
"Will the [name of the?] Wizarding school in America have any relevance to the Native American-Indian culture?" a fans asked the writer on Twitter.
"If I answer that fully it will reveal the location of the school, but you can take that as a yes!" she quickly answered but later clarified that the name isn't of the Native American origin but confirmed that the "name is of immigrant origin."
"However, indigenous magic was important in the founding of the school. If I say which tribes, location is revealed," she added.
Where do you think the American Hogwarts will be located in the "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" film?
