With barely a week to go before its official release on June 16, Adam Lambert's "The Original High" was released for free online streaming!
Glamberts flocked straight to Amazon to listen to the singer's highly anticipated third album. They were eager to dig right into the record, which according to Bustle only contained the "clean, standard editions" of the songs and not the explicit ones.
The Grammy-nominated singer previously promised a darker tone to his new album and his latest single "Ghost Town" was a testament to that. Reviewers readily threw praises at the Shellback and Max Martin-produced song.
Thanks to the free online streaming which will last until June 15, Adam Lambert's "The Original High" allowed fans and reviewers to check out what Time called "darker house-inspired music", similar to "Ghost Town".
Based on the songs available for streaming, Bustle wrote that "The Original High" seems to be "a very impressive (and very cohesive) body of work."
Right off the bat, several songs reportedly stood out from the yet-to-be-released record.
"Another Lonely Night", "Underground" and "Things I Didn't Say" seem to be early favorites. His collaboration songs with Swedish musician Tove Lo ("Rumors"), and Queen guitarist Brian May ("Lucy") are also promising tracks.
"[Adam's] probably the first guy that I've successfully written something for," Tove Lo previously told Digital Spy, adding that the song is about "the struggle of being with someone who doesn't really trust you".
Meanwhile, the legendary Queen guitarist recently showed his support for the "American Idol" runner-up aside from featuring on his new album.
Although May admitted that there have been no plans to feature the talented vocalist in a new Queen album, he was still excited to listen to Lambert's new material.
"[A]t the moment we're watching with interest while Adam pursues his solo career, and it seems to be going very well," he told The Inquistr. "He's an amazing, amazing artist, and there's no getting away from that. It's very interesting to watch him develop."
