Why Won’t Adam Lambert Be Dating Closeted Gays Anytime Soon? Admits He Just Needs ‘A Few Tequilas’ To Become ‘A Good Flirt’

| By

Adam Lambert's dating life is as much an interesting topic as the "American Idol" runner-up's flamboyant performances.

In a previous interview with Glamour UK, the "Ghost Town" singer admitted that he's "been with" several closeted gay TV and film actors in the past. Although he didn't reveal the names of these men (for obvious reasons), it seems that dating them traumatized Lambert too much.

"I dated some actors but they weren't famous," the Grammy-nominated singer reportedly told Mirror UK. "In my single 'Ghost Town', I'm referring to how LA and the industry can really take its toll."

Having to keep relationships a secret from the world didn't sit well with the "For Your Entertainment" singer, who is known for being very open about his sexuality.

"Actors and entertainers can't be open about their sexuality and it's hard to live that life. It's difficult to date someone who's so worried about their reputation," he continued. "I don't think I could date anyone in the closet again."

Despite being out and proud, Adam Lambert's dating life doesn't involve online dating, unlike some of today's current relationships - LGBTQ or straight.

"I can't do dating apps," The Mirror further quoted the 33-year-old singer. "The magic happens for me when you flirt in real-life. Once I've had a few tequilas, I'm a good flirt."

He is such a great flirt with tequila that he managed to charm a girl into sleeping with him with help of the said drink.

"It was kind of a random thing, but I was very curious," he previously admitted to Glamour, adding that "it felt great!"

Although he quite liked the time he spent with a woman, Adam Lambert's dating life would still be focused on men whom he can date publicly.

Meanwhile, Lambert is currently preparing to release his third album, "The Original High". However, he is currently letting fans have a free listen of the entire record via Amazon before officially releasing it on June 16.
