Will Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter get married soon? The 'Burn' singer couldn't help but sing praises for her boyfriend to Elle UK.
"He is definitely the one forever," she gushed. "When I was a teenager, I fancied him but I thought he was so out of my league. Way too good-looking for me."
The "Love Me Like You Do" singer looks like she's very much in love with the McFly member since they started dating in February of last year. In fact, it seems that Goulding and Dougie Poynter's wedding already has a DJ on board.
"Calvin Harris has already offered to play at our wedding," she revealed. "Not that we've organized one. But the offer has been made." The Scottish DJ is currently dating Goulding's close friend, Taylor Swift.
Before they can get to their nuptials, however, the British singer had to clear up a certain rumor about herself and fellow Brit star Ed Sheeran.
Goulding was the center of cheating rumors and allegations after fans suspected her to be the girl that Sheeran sang about in "Don't". According to the controversial song, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer dated a girl who cheated on him with one of his friends. His fans were quick to single out Goulding as the person in question and One Direction's Niall Horan as the other guy.
In the Elle UK interview, however, the 28-year-old songstress revealed that she never dated the red-headed acoustic star.
"I did go on a few dates with Niall but I was never in a relationship with Ed," Goulding told the magazine. "I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing."
On the other hand, US Weekly noted that Sheeran himself, previously admitted to dating Goulding in 2013.
"I mean, normal people don't hold hands if they're just friends," he reportedly said during a past radio interview about being spotted looking quite cosy during the 2013 MTV VMAs. "It was going on. And now it's not."
No matter what the rumors hint at, Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter's wedding still seem to be happening in the near future.
