‘Gilmore Girls’ Reboot: Milo Ventimiglia Wants In On The Action! EP Assures Fans Nobody ‘Hates Each Other’

| By

Milo Ventimiglia played two defining characters in TV history: Peter Petrelli in NBC's "Heroes" and the Stars Hallow's resident bad boy Jesse in "Gilmore Girls".

If Ventimiglia won't be joining Tim Kring's "Heroes Reborn" this fall, will he also refuse a spot in the "Gilmore Girls" reboot?

According to US Weekly, the 37-year-old actor is actually interested in the rumored project.

"I'm not the biggest fan of pumping blood and life into the old, dead horse anymore," he told the entertainment news site. "But I think if anything, it would be cool for fans."

If the turnout for the event is anything to go by, fans would really love to find out what happened to Lorelei and Rory Gilmore (played by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel) as well as who they ended up with after that open-ended series finale.

Despite the rumors and hopeful comments from avid followers, however, the show's producer Amy Sherman-Palladino told those who attended the reunion that "there's nothing in the works at the moment."

It's not a complete "no", however. According to Variety, she promised that it's not because anyone is unwilling to jump into the fray.

"If it ever happened, I promise we'd do it correctly," she told the crowd in Austin. "Nobody here hates each other, which is very important. It would have to be the right everything, the right format, the right timing, it would have to be honored in a certain way. And if it ever came around, we would all jump in and do it."

She still doesn't know whether the "Gilmore Girls" reboot "would manifest itself as a movie or Netflix series" but the series is still "not real right now."

Whatever format the show will take shape in, fans and even the show's alums are already eating up the possibility of a revival.

"Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki, who played Rory's first boyfriend Dean, is "totally for a reboot" according to US Weekly, while Scott Patterson (Luke) thinks avid followers, even eight years after it ended "deserve it."

Would you watch a "Gilmore Girls" reboot should it happen or should fans just come up with their own happy ending for Rory and Lorelei?
