Following the successful arcade launch, a "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date is reportedly going to happen anytime soon.
While Bandai Namco has yet to officially announce the classic game's release date, Christian Today reported that the giant gaming company is expected to announce "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date at EVO 2015 happening on July 17 to 19.
And while fans are still waiting for the announcement, Game Spot mentioned that in addition to the already released characters for the arcade version, there will be additional upgrades to the original characters.
The arcade version now includes Gigas, Josie Rizal, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarin and Claudio in its line up.
In addition to the upgrad, Silicon Era director Katsuhiro Harada said that there will be more characters to be added in "Tekken 7" once the PS4 and Xbox One versions hit shelves.
"By the way, currently, we have four new characters, but later on we'll continue to add them through updates, so look forward to it," Harada said. "We don't plan on reducing the number of characters, so yes, we're thinking of adding more."
And while there are new characters "Tekken 7" will still include recurring characters namely, Alisa Bosconovitch, Asuka Kazama, Bryan Fury, Devil Jin, Feng Wei, Heihachi Mishima, Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, King II, Lars Alexandersson, Leo Kliesen, Lili, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Sergei Dragunov and Steve Fox.
Furthermore, "Tekken 7" is reportedly going to run on Unreal Engine 4 when it's released for PS4 and Xbox One.
"With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it," Harada told Unreal Engine. "Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it also allows us to bring 'Tekken 7' to any platform we desire."
