"Suicide Squad" movie cast Jai Courtney, who will play well-known The Flash villain Captain Boomerang, assures fans his upcoming DC project will be a great one.
In fact, he himself cannot hide the excitement for the film that features a star-studded cast that will play a slew of famous comic book villains.
In an interview with Spotlight Report, the "Suicide Squad" movie cast commended the work atmosphere in the set and sent out praises to director David Ayer.
"I'm really excited about it. The vibe on set's fantastic. We've really found a sort of a family atmosphere out there," Courtney told Spotlight Report. "The cast are fantastic. And I'm working with some wonderful actors and David Ayer's someone who -- I mean, he was the real draw card for me. I hadn't read a script at all when I signed on."
The "Suicide Squad" movie cast line-up did not get a good reception from fans at the start. So is the selected director. However, according to Courtney himself, Ayer is the perfect choice. In fact, just seeing that he will work with the "Training Day" director already made him jump in.
"It's been interesting finding the balance. But he is the perfect guy to have on your side, because you look at some of the comic books and some of the old sixties stuff is so hammy, you know, and kind of camp," the Australian actor said.
"But get a guy like David Ayer at the helm of a thing like this and it really gets kind of dark and gritty, and, you know, awesome. And he's a stickler for authenticity. So I think what we're going to create is going to be really, really cool."
Aside from Courtney, "Suicide Squad" movie cast is also headlined by Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and more.
