Following the blockbuster success of the movie adaptation to E.L. James' best selling novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey," new reports claim that "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill is going to join the sequel.

According to Movie News Guide Superman is reportedly being eyed to portray the role of the book's bad guy, Jack Hyde.

If all things go smoothly, Henry Cavill is going to play Anastasia Steele's boss in the movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades Darker."

Jack Hyde is "described as a man with with sensual blues eyes that can pierce your heart."

While director Sam Taylor-Johnson has dropped out of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, it has been previously reported that her first choice to play Christian Grey was actually Henry Cavill, which eventually went to Jamie Dornan, who is also being rumored to leave the erotica franchise.

The Examiner added that they have different sources confirming the involvement of the "Man of Steel" star in the upcoming sequel.

"Numerous sources have rumors circulating that Cavill might be cast as Anastasia Steele's commanding boss (and sometimes considered an antagonistic "villain"), Jack Hyde," the publication stated. "While difficult to define him as a complete enemy in the books, he does have some devious plans in store for Ana as well as a dark past and some serious history with - and angst towards - the Greys."

The sequel titled, "Fifty Shades Darker" will continue the love story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele following the last scenes from the first movie.

Only this time, Steele will have to deal with a new man in her life, Jack Hyde, whom she will meet in Seattle Independent Publishing House.

"But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sexual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades," the summary said.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie sequel is reportedly going to be released sometime in 2017.
