Finally Bethesda has officially announced the highly anticipated post apocalyptic game, "Fallout 4."
Together with the announcement comes an official trailer.
While the release date has yet to be be revealed it's expected to be announced during Bethesda's first ever E3 conference, probably together with other AAA titles.
"Bethesda is expected to show more of Fallout 4 at its E3 press briefing in Los Angeles on June 14. This is the first time the company is hosting its own press conference, creating the expectation that it has several big titles to showcase," Game Spot noted.
And while fans are excitingly waiting for more details, Bethesda launched the first trailer, which revealed possible gameplay and even confirmed previous reports that "Fallout 4" will take place in Boston.
The three-minute long trailer fortunately showed a lot more than what's expected and according to Kotaku there were details that could correspond to possible gameplays.
Like in previous "Fallout 1" game trailer, the new game showed a pretty beat up room with a television set, however what changes in this trailer is the constant flashbacks, which Kotaku noted could mean something more for the game.
"This does not seem like a detail that is simply window dressing," the publication stated.
"The rest of the trailer regularly flashes back to pre-war moments, making it seem as if Fallout 4 will explore stuff outside the post-apocalypse, too. Vault-Tec in particular is mentioned at this point, which is the company that built the vaults that people hid in to save themselves from nuclear catastrophe."
Furthermore it also confirmed previous reports claiming that "Fallout 4" setting will be in Boston.
"The trailer shows a few key locales that confirm the Boston setting, like the Bunker Hill Monument," the wesite added.
Game Spot also noted the setting shown in the trailer.
"As previously indicated, Fallout 4 will take place in Boston. During the video we are briefly shown an area called "Scollay Square," which is located in real-world Boston. The USS Constitution, which is docked in the city, Bunker Hill Monument, and the Massachusetts State House are also seen in the video."
And while Game Spot mentioned that Ron Perlman returned as "Fallout 4" narrator, Kotaku digressed that it could also be Troy Baker.
Finally Kotaku noted that since the setting has taken place in London, it's safe to assume that gamers could finally get to visit The Institute.
"Since this game is set in Boston, it seems logical to assume that we'll visit The Institute, a location within the Fallout universe that is said to have very advanced technology. We're talking androids and stuff like that. Remember The Replicated Man quest from Fallout 3? The android in that quest is from The Institute."
