Details of the upcoming Microsoft's flagship surfaced again and more details of its specs and features have been revealed.
Different leaks made the rounds over the past few days from a source of NokiaPowerUser and today the tech site published another details of the larger variant of the Lumia 940.
According to the leaked benchmarking, the Lumia 940 XL will sport a 5.7-inch display with a slim design and a metal frame. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
Camera-wise, the upcoming Lumia 940 XL will sport a 5MP selfie snapper and a 20MP rear camera with PureView technology.
The Windows 10 based phone was also mentioned to support native pen Continuum for phones. The latter was first demonstrated at Build 2015, "which adapts the interface according to the display its connected to."(WMP)
In addition, it has been also revealed to feature type-C support and biometric Iris scanner.
On the other hand, its smaller sibling, has been previously reported by GSM Arena that the Lumia 940 could be the codenamed Nokia RM-1106 which features 5.2" screen and a brand new chipset, probably inferior than the Lumia 940 XL..
"RAM is listed as 1.5GB, which means 2GB total. We were expecting 3GB and the rumors were promising as much. Available storage is 27GB left over from 32GB total," the report continued.
As for its release, reports claim that the Lumia 940 will be launched along with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 when Windows 10 would be ready for all platforms not until July 29. (Cross Map)
"We believe the best time to bring those flagship devices to market is when we have our very latest flagship software experience available. We're focusing our flagship development for slightly later when Windows 10 is available," Microsoft Phone Marketing Director Neil Broadley was quoted in the report saying.
